Daily Enjoyment

Being what I consider to be a normal, animated, and organic aggregated mass of skin, bones, water, and creepy creatures (inside me), (at least, I believe I fit into the parameters of all those descriptions), I am nonetheless a social individual. Kamagra 100 mg pills Of course, that means that once in a while, my happy self craves the attention of other social individuals. Kamagra 100 mg pills

Some of the behaviors I indulge in listed below:

My overall favorite behavior is to visit with my son, and his wife… both of whom I truly love.

Most of my time spent writing is at a very neat place in Florissant, Missouri (just outside the North side of St. Louis). Arriving at approximately 6:30 A.M., I pigeonhole my self in the dinning room, where I usually have it all to my self until around 10 A.M.. The owner, his wife, some of the waitresses, and some of the folks in the bar section usually converse with me on a regular basis while I drink tea, and type on my laptop computer.

Another place I hang out on Wednesday and Thursday evenings is a restaurant where a friend of mine named Steve, and I, meet a couple of neat ladies named Connie and Lynn. Naturally, we catch up on what activities we have completed, folks we may have met, what our families are doing, and other assorted information. I really enjoy it!

Once in a while, I call an old classmate of mine named Jim, who has a great wife named Phyllis, and they live in a small town in Tennessee.

Little compares when at home alone and filling up the tub with some nice hot water, and just soaking in it for an hour or so, while reading a good book. Tooling in your vehicle past a wooded area on a nice day? Stop and open both doors, put on some soothing music, and dance to it with someone you love.

On a clear, cloudless night, take a pair of binoculars, find a deserted place in the country, sit on the hood of your vehicle, or take a blanket and lay on it and discover how many satellites you can see.

Or pop into a restaurant where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, and just sit there watching the antics of others. If they have outside tables, and the weather is warm, why not sit there and feel the air in your hair.

See what your mate says when they come home and discover a blanket and pillow on the floor. Then imagine what you can do next! When is the last time you stood or walked in a warm summer rain???

Why not go on the web and look up the past… what songs did they sing? What type of vehicles did they drive? What were the style of clothes they wore? What types of dances were there?

Purchase an inexpensive microscope, and check out what leaves, bugs, paper, and anything else you wish, looks like…you will discover that in the area of the “tiny”, 99% percent of it is extremely beautiful.

Write some of your own poetry—it doesn’t matter how good it is… just write about your current feelings or about a loved one.

Of course, please remember that (for about 98%) no matter what happens, or how bad something seems, you will either forget it or laugh about it years from now.

You may want to take a trip out into the countryside on a back road on a nice day, take a pen and paper with you, and just write about anything or anyone that comes to mind. Maybe also take a blanket or chair with you, sit under a tree, take about ten slow deep breaths, and go for it—you will love it Someone once told me that I am easily amused—and they are correct… that is why I laugh a lot more than I cry.

As far as I am concerned, this is something every parent should do for their children. Write down the memories of your life—where you were born, schools, work, everything your children will really appreciate it, especially in their later years.

How Pilates Can Change Your Life

Pilates were developed in the early 20th century and named after the man who invented them – Joseph Pilates. They are a form of exercise involving abdominals, lower back, hips, and thighs. The intent is to build strength in your core muscle groups to help improve your posture, flexibility, and balance.

If you have ever spent time performing calisthenics, then you have probably come close to doing Pilates. A Pilates workout will involve 25-50 strength training exercises.

Anyone can exercise using Pilates. And the benefits are the same whether you are an experienced athlete or a beginner at the fitness game. If you have a desire to improve your posture, to prevent or treat back pain, gain a better balance and stability over your body frame, and increase your flexibility, then Pilates are the perfect workout routine for you.

If you are over 40 or it’s been awhile since you’ve been physically active, be sure to speak with your doctor before starting a new exercise plan. If you have health problems, you should check with your doctor as well.

Pilates are best performed with a workout partner or a training manager. They make for a good strength workout, but if you are looking for aerobic exercises, then you should try something else.

Before you start your Pilates routine, do some warm-up exercises. Start with some imprinting, then some arm reach and pulls, and pelvic curls. Swan preps and wall roll downs are also good warm-up exercises.

After10-15 minutes of warm ups, if you are a beginner or you are not used to a rigorous workout, perform some beginner exercises before moving on to more advanced Pilates. Chest lifts, roll ups, and one leg circles are good Pilateexercises for beginners. It’s a good idea to mix up your routines so that you don’t work on the same muscle groups over and over and ignore others. For instance, your first Pilates exercise could be a workout for your abdomen with a follow-up exercise that works on your lower back. Then, throw in an exercise that works out your hips and thighs. If possible, choose an exercise that works out two muscles at once.

When working out with Pilates, dress comfortably. Make sure that you choose clothing that gives you a full range of your muscles, particularly your legs. Dress simply, but don’t wear clothing that is too loose. Baggy clothing might reveal more than you want to reveal and your instructor or workout partner won’t be able to see your muscles and determine whether you are getting a good workout.

The most essential Pilates equipment you’ll need is an exercise mat. You’ll spend a lot of time on the floor so be sure you get a mat that pads your body well. You might also invest in exercise and toning balls, exercise bands, magic circles, and body rollers.

Before you start your new Pilates workout routine, learn as much as you can about them and study a few of the exercises before trying to perform them. Get a good vision of how you will approach them before you actually try it. Never work out alone, even if you are planning a light Pilates workout.

Framing a Canvas Print

A canvas arts does not always require a frame. A lot of times artists and canvas artwork companies simply do a wrap. A wrap is when the sides of the canvas are folded and wrapped around the stretcher bards and then attached to the back of the wooden frame using tacks or staples. Framing a canvas art is not unusual though. If you feel like framing your canvas print, you can easily do it yourself using materials you can purchase at a hardware or crafts store. Here’s how to do it:

Before you get started, make sure you have all the materials you will need:

Stretcher bars

Crossbar gloss

Varnish spray

Frame

Begin by stretching the canvas as tight as possible without damaging it or the image printed on it. It is necessary to stretch the canvas to prevent sagging so that the material will not flop in the frame. For regular sized prints, stretcher bars are often used. For larger canvas prints, you may have to use a cross bar.

• To stretch you canvas first, get the measurement of your canvas print. You will need it in order to choose the right sized stretcher frame. The frame should be about 3 inches shorter on each side of the printer canvas.

• Next, lay the canvas flat and put the stretcher frame on the very center. Fold over one side and put a staple in the middle. Pull the opposite side tightly and use a second staple to secure it in place. Repeat the process to the 2 remaining sides.

• Grab the canvas near the first staple. Tug tightly and place another staple a couple of inches to the right. Place another staple this time 2 inches to the left. Do the same process to the other three sides of the canvas.

• Tug at the corner flap tightly, fold it over and then staple in place. Do the same to the other three corners.

If your canvas print has not been given a varnish finish yet, you can coat it yourself using a gloss finish varnish. Spray the entire canvas print very lightly. A varnish finish is necessary to protect the canvas art from dust, water and sunlight. Spray on a coat and let it dry for about an hour before applying a second coat (if you wish). Let it dry for at least another hour. If you want to be sure that the varnish has dry, let it stand for several hours or overnight. Perform this task in a clean environment so as not to get anything on the print.

Lastly, place the print inside the frame in the same way you would a poster or a photo. You have the option of leaving some area around the image for a matte or let the canvas completely fill the area. It all depends on the size of frame and canvas print. If you want your canvas print to be really unique, you can add paint to the edges and really bring out main image of the print.

Turn to Food to Boost Your Mood

A lot of us have been conditioned to believe that comfort foods are not good and are to be avoided. But if your comfort food is candy or junk food this holds true. Other times, however, comfort foods can be completely healthy and it’s good for you to consume them. A number of foods really do raise your mood when you consume them. When you are feeling a little down and are needing an emotional boost, try a couple of these.

Eggs, you might be astonished to learn, are fantastic at fighting depression. Just make sure that you do not throw out the egg yolk. The egg yolk is the most important part of the egg when it comes to helping you cheer up. Eggs, the yolk especially, are stuffed full of B vitamins. The B vitamin family can be terrific for elevating your mood. This is because these vitamins help your neural transmitters–the parts of your brain that control your mood–work better. Try to eat an egg and feel a lot happier!

Put together some trail mix of nuts or seeds. Your mood can be improved by consuming peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. This is because these foods are rich in magnesium, which helps to boost serotonin levels. Serotonin is the “feel good” chemical that tells your brain how you feel all the time. The higher your levels of serotonin, the more pleasant you are going to feel. Not just that, nuts, specifically, are a fantastic protein source.

If you wish to beat depression, try eating some cold water fish. Salmon, herring, tuna, mackerel, trout, and so on, they’re all loaded with omega-3 and DHA. Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that raise the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can earnestly boost your mood.

Some grains are truly great for fighting off bad moods. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all really great for helping raise your happiness levels. These grains can help you feel full for longer as well, which is a mood improver. Feeling hungry can really make you feel awful! These grains can help your mood elevate because it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps promote a rise in your blood sugar which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.

Green tea is fantastic for moods. You just knew it had to be included in this article, right? Green tea is found to be rich in an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies show that this specific amino acid can essentially stimulate brain waves. This helps improve your mental focus while having a relaxing effect on the rest of your body. You already knew green tea could help you feel healthier. Now you know that applies to your mood as well!

Now you know that junk food isn’t necessarily what you need to eat when you wish to help your moods get better. Try a couple of these hints instead.

The Best Professional Photography Equipment And Rentals

Maybe you want a shot-by-shot of a tackle at the football game you’re covering. Maybe you want a wide shot of the safari with giraffe’s feeding. Hey, maybe you just want to catch a close-up of a bee on a flower before it darts away or calls its hive to descend upon you. No matter what subject matter you intend to be the focus, you will need some great equipment to shoot it.

Professional photography requires not only the skill but the ingenuity. You should always be prepared with the right equipment for your photo shoot. A good key for self-starters and freelance photographers is to have easily transportable equipment that provides high quality results. Of course, you really need to consider what equipment you most need because you will be using it from here on out. What if you could try before you buy?

Did you know that some photography places will loan you products? Renting equipment is a wise decision for those testing out the features and the benefits before a purchase. Say you’re in serious need of camera lenses or lighting but you are not entirely sure that you want to spend the money on the purchase. Research the products you are curious about and contact the store about a possible rental. This method allows you the freedom to test out the product line before you make a commitment. Should you be satisfied with the results you can once again contact the stores and place in an order to complete payments on the item.

This is a safe way for you to configure your camera without unnecessary costs and disappointment. You’re going to need your fill of professional photography equipment throughout your career or hobby. The least you can do is prioritize and tailor your needs. You get an added benefit of a rebate in a lot of cases with a rental before purchase program. Some items you will want to keep in mind are lenses (wide angle, telephoto, macro, and specialty), tripods, and lighting accessories. These come in handy for different types of shoots.

Also, when renting also be sure you get yourself some good carrying equipment. If you intend to bring this gear anywhere you want it to be in tip-top shape. Padded cases will protect your stuff so you avoid bangs, scratches, and scuffs. The last thing you need is your equipment getting ruined before you even get a chance to use it! What a drag it would be to travel all the way to your destination only to find you cannot take full advantage of the technology.

Enjoy your time with your new gear. Should you decide to purchase it, it will be a happy and satisfactory investment.

Nursing: A Bad Trade?

I don’t get it. I love education so why do I hate the new recommendation that 80% of nurses should now graduate with at least a Bachelor’s Degree?

At each stage of my nursing career, I went back to school to learn more. I was driven into learning by my need to know more in order to help my patients.

When I was a nursing assistant, I wanted to be an LPN, when I got to be an LPN, I went back to school and got my RN. Once I had my Associate’s Degree, I went on to get a Bachelor’s Degree, and finally a Master’s Degree. So I can truly say, I do love education.

But here’s the rub. I love Nursing more. Nursing is a vocation for me. Nursing is a big passion, and so I was surprised when I reacted so negatively when I saw the new requirements. Something smelled funny, something wasn’t right – I felt it in my gut.

Yet, from the time I was a kid I loved the look of degrees, all those letters like alphabet soup on the parchment certificates I saw hanging on the wall of every doctor’s office. As I grew up, I wanted all those letters after my own name. I wanted to wear them like jewelry, as an ornament for my ego. I knew it equalized the power somehow. I also knew that education was a weapon. But what made me a nurse was something very different, something very special. I cared deeply about those in my charge, and for that reason, I had to know as much as I could to keep them safe. That’s why I kept going back to school. To learn, to help my patients, to gain some power to be able to defend my patients.

I spent days trying to figure out why I felt the way I did about the new nursing recommendation. And finally it came to me.

I loved being an aide, I loved being an LPN, but the next move up in my education began to push me closer to the desk and pull me farther away from my patients. I liked the intimacy of hands on care, I liked exchanging conversation and teaching patients while I made a bed, to keep them from feeling frightened.

I had spent hours learning to develop observation skills, which helped the patients heal more quickly especially if I picked up something that the doctors’ or others hadn’t. I felt fulfilled, grateful and I loved what Idid.

But then they made me a desktop nurse. Certainly I could understand why some charting was necessary for constancy of care. As the nurse coming on shift, I wanted to know the last time my patients had their meds, and how often they suffered pain.

Once, I took over their care, I had been taught to uncover their hidden anxieties and to teach them to care for themselves when they went home. I could help their families be less afraid. My education served both me and my patients. I loved the feeling that when they were helpless, I was there to help them and I knew why and how to do that.

I didn’t like it at the desk. I didn’t like telling other nurses what to do. I didn’t want to manage, I wanted to help. If I wanted to do business, then I would have gone to business school and made a lot more money when I graduated.

But nurses weren’t paid as much for experience as they were for education. I knew that. Then the truth began to emerge for me.

Nurses got higher pay for covering for hospitals and insurance companies than they did for caring for their patients. Sure our roles had expanded, and we were taught to observe, counsel, teach, do nursing diagnosis but once we fought to be paid more for our skills, they took us away from the parts of nursing we loved most. Our patients.

Once the medical system morphed into a business model rather than a healing model, we lost the elegance of the vocation, and instead had to settle for the image of the profession. That wasn’t my calling, that wasn’t what fed my soul, it was neither my path or my purpose to write codes and notes day or night. What were they giving me for what they were taking away? Status? Pay?

Less skilled workers were placed at the bedside while I was kept away.

I read articles and listened to people who tried to trick me by telling me that the profession of nursing had to change and grow so that we would be more respected in the Health Care Field. So we could make more money, have more status, and more respect. But something in me cried, “but what about the patients?”

Patients polled still said nurses were the most trusted of all the professionals so whose respect were we going for? And whose well being? Was nursing growing the profession at the expense of those we swore to advocate for?

When Nursing was a vocation, there was some element of service, certainly, but there was honor in it, and true caring.

There are nurses, and I was one of them, who had to work to support their families. That has to be honored and respected too. That’s a worthy endeavor as well. But they should be respected for what they’ve had to give up for what they got.

Why would we accept this new recommendation as an upgrade? And why wouldn’t each of us, as nurses, support the aspect of ourselves in each other that has us working at the bedside, at the desk, and making policy? Why would we settle for so much less? If we don’t stand up for ourselves, who will stand for us?

The new studies being done show that intention, interaction with the caregiver, emotional support, exchange of energy and hope all help to heal. That’s the “Art of Healing.” Why now, at the very brink of these discoveries, would we settle for being Professionals when we could have the opportunity to be true Healers?

Holistic Drug Rehab Programs Are the Way to Overcome Addiction

Trying to find one’s way out of drug or alcohol addiction, or in the case of some – both, can be a never-ending quagmire. Oftentimes people successfully kick the booze or drug and then inexplicably a few months or sometimes even years later revert back to their addicted state. This is because the body stores toxins in the fatty tissue and those substances can be released back into the system triggering a relapse. Holistic drug rehab therapy is one proven method to prevent this cycle.

This alternative type of treatment, also known as a biophysical rehab, is based on the principals of holistic healing: body, mind and spirit. Traditional programs embrace western medicine and are usually faith-based, only addressing one component of the addiction – the emotional aspect.

Both sides of addiction, the physical and the emotional factors, are addressed in holistic drug rehabs by looking at the whole person. Various treatments are administered at different stages that aid in full recovery. A typical holistic treatment plan is usually about ninety days and includes nutritional supplements, sauna and exercise to help tackle physiological issues; as well as life coaching for the emotional concerns. The threat of relapse is diminished as the body is cleansed and the toxins that could trigger cravings are eliminated from the body. This needs to be done in a controlled environment where there is a support system in place so the purification is complete.

In order to overcome their addiction people suffering from a chemical dependency need new life skills to learn how to cope. Drugs and/or alcohol were the previous methods used for handling life’s problems. Eliminating those doesn’t automatically make the person clean as they need to learn how to live without that crutch.

All the components a person needs to succeed is included in holistic drug rehabs. In fact, the success rates are much higher than a twenty-eight day type rehab. Life-long results are seventy to eighty percent for those who commit to this type of alternative therapy; whereas traditional methods offer at best 5 to 10 percent success.

The behavior of addiction is against the grain of logic as it is self-destructive. It can be difficult for loved ones and friends to understand what has happened to the person that keeps them trapped in the life of chemical dependency. The right tools are necessary for individuals experiencing addiction in order to make stable changes. Treatment programs that don’t address both sides of substance abuse are not as effective in helping individuals find their way out of the muck.

Teeth Whitening – What You Need to Know About It

Teeth whitening is one of the most requested services in the beauty sector yet there continues to be an enormous sum of uncertainty with regards to the subject. Teeth whitening is very profitable, and thus very aggressive, marketplace; which is probably why we have such a difficult time sorting through all the information, or misinformation, out there. This article is intended to offer an overview of teeth whitening, how it works, what to watch for when comparing teeth whitening products and services, and help you determine if teeth whitening is for you. Or perhaps, what type of teeth whitening suits you best.

Variety of Gel: There are basically two types of bleaching gels used in the US. Hydrogen peroxide gel and carbamide peroxide teeth whitening gel. Hydrogen peroxide is the active ingredient; i.e. hydrogen peroxide is the actual compound that bleaches your teeth. Carbamide peroxide has to break down into hydrogen peroxide before it can bleach your teeth. 36% carbamide peroxide is roughly equivalent to 12% hydrogen peroxide.

Gel Concentration: The greater the concentration, the faster and more extraordinary your whitening results will be. However, only a dentist should perform bleaching with high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (over 35% H2O2) as these gels can harm the soft tissue in your mouth and only a dentist is qualified to protect your soft tissue properly. Any gel can potentially damage your gums if used improperly so be sure your whitening professional is properly qualified or that you meticulously stick to instructions if you are applying the gel by yourself. Also, the more concentrated the gel, the greater the probability of experiencing tooth sensitivity.

Application: The procedure of applying the teeth whitening gel to your teeth can range from having to paint it on yourself while you’re sitting in the chair to having trays, that will contain the gel, custom fitted to your teeth. If you are having skilled chair-side whitening, be certain to inquire about who applies the gel and how they will apply it. Remember, only a dentist can put anything in your mouth or on your teeth.

Type of Light: There are three types of lights; LED, plasma arc, and halogen. Of the three, halogen is described by third-party research to be the most effective. Nevertheless, excellent results have been reported employing all three sorts of light. Possibly just as significant is how well the light reaches the surfaces of your teeth.

Time: Laser bleaching treatments are generally provided in packages where you get one, two or three applications in the same sitting. Each treatment lasts approximately 15 minutes. So don’t just question how much time it’s going to take, ask how many applications you will receive during your appointment. If you are using one of the home teeth whitening kits, the gel is probably carbamide peroxide gel. Carbamide peroxide gel has to break down into hydrogen peroxide to be able to bleach your teeth. It takes 15-20 minutes just for it to start breaking down. That is why home-whitening takes longer.

Shades Whiter: Your teeth brightening professional will compare your teeth before and after with a teeth bleaching guide. Hopefully he or she uses either the Spectrum or the R-20 teeth bleaching guide because those two brands are arranged from darker to whiter. It really depends on your teeth, but you can count on up to 8 shades lighter for laser bleaching and 2-3 shades for home whitening.

Results: How long your benefits will last is somewhat dependent upon how well you care for your teeth after the bleaching treatment. Your results will last longer if you use a follow-up home bleaching system and keep away from things like smoking or drinking coffee, tea, and wine.

Cost: The price you’ll have to pay for teeth lightening is highly variable. 1-hr laser whitening can run from $49 to $299 or much more, depending on whether or not a dentist performs the treatment and how many treatments you get. Kits can cost from $29 all the way up to $189 or a lot more. Just be sure you’re comparing oranges with oranges. And recall, it is the hydrogen peroxide in the gel that bleaches away the staining on your teeth.
